Oh boy, the Jammin' Ninja's Badger Boogie Snowglobe is out finally! I've been dying to get my hands on one of these! [And she walks right up to the glass case where it is on display in the shop and starts gawking at it.]

[The grey-eyed man glances over as Kay speaks, then immediately looks away upon recognizing her, though not quickly enough to make it impossible to notice the "oh crap" in his eyes. Still, he tries to keep his nerves calm and his wits about him as he takes a recently-issued action figure of the Steel Samurai himself from the shelf and scrutinizes it as best he can through the packaging, paying particularly close attention to the joints.]

[ So, this was kind of a big deal. This case needed more than one set of eyes to take it to court, and honestly? Klavier was more than happy to volunteer for the job, despite how different he and Edgeworth worked. With Ema's assistance, he was pretty sure this one would be in the bag, but it never hurt to ask. Which was why he was expecting Edgeworth to get the rest of the actual case and evidence information to him--from what he'd heard, this one was a real mess to sort out, so it was going to take some help. Besides, he was far more focused on getting to the truth of the matter.

... On some level, he's positively ecstatic to be working with the man. He's kind of a living legend. On top of that, he was one of his heroes, though he wouldn't admit that too freely--one of the reasons he'd decided to become a prosecutor (aside from showing his brother up) was because of the good he'd heard Edgeworth do, and, really, searching for the truth and helping people was a good thing to do. With his band, well, disbanded, he's had a lot more free time lately to focus on his prosecuting duties, though that doesn't mean his office will ever be silent. Or entirely neat. When Edgeworth enters the floor his office is on, it's so quiet outside the sudden blast of music that happens upon opening the door is kind of jarring. He's going over the autopsy reports and what he has to begin with, since he suspects this one will be tricky. And it helps him think to play his guitar while he's reading this stuff over. Maybe he should go visit the scene later, but, ah, isn't that why he has Edgeworth's help?

He is a musician, after all, even if it's always secondary to his search for the truth. The first thing that'll probably strike Edgeworth, sound aside, is the amount of guitars in the place, and the lack of a proper desk. Or shelves. Probably also the giant speakers he's using for tables. There's a stack of case files on top of one, and the rest of the stuff he's looking over in that chair of his. At present, the three television screens seem to be set to various news reports on said recent case. The media sure is having a field day... ]

Ah, if it isn't Herr Frills!

[ Guitar chord! He'll stop playing for a bit, at least, but sorry about your poor ears, Edgeworth. ]

What an honor to be graced by the man who's won so many awards. How was the scene? Seems kind of like it's turning into a three ring circus from here, ja?

[Edgeworth had heard of Klavier Gavin. While he had never talked to the man, Edgeworth knew that Gavin was the prosecutor who had helped cause Wright's disbarment seven years ago. Still, he could not jump to conclusions about the man, especially as it was Gavin's brother, a defense attorney, who was the one responsible for that incident. Not only that but the younger brother helped ensure the older brother's conviction.

Oh, and he was a member of that weird rock group whose members were also working for the law. Edgeworth had no idea what their music was about and did not care either. What he was really interested about was Klavier Gavin the prosecutor. Edgeworth heard that Mr. Gavin was a talented young man but he wanted to see for himself. Would Mr. Gavin be a man who has eyes for the truth or a one who is misguided by his desire for self-glory?

As Edgeworth opens the door, he is taken aback by the great blast of music.]

What in the world....? [What is that hideous sound and.....why are all the guitars on what looks like it used to be the bookshelves and where on earth is the desk?

Edgeworth tries not to look appalled as his eyes meet the younger prosecutor. Having grown older and learnt to be a little more social, Edgeworth has gotten better at keeping his cool and being more relaxed, although he's not perfect.

He takes a polite bow.]

Ah, you must be Mr. Klavier Gavin. We are both working on the Daphne Blanc murder case together. It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Miles Edgeworth.

[Must not comment on room, must not....even though it looks more like someone's sitting room than an office.]

.....Herr Frills? [Unfortunately, he cannot help but raise an eyebrow at that.]

[ As disorganized as he might look, and as loud as things may seem--in which he respectfully will be, thankfully, turning his amplifier off--Klavier gives him a genuine, relaxed smile. A tug of his hair, and he lets it go with a slight chuckle. It seems, at least, that the younger prosecutor is genuine. That much can be ascertained. Indeed, he had helped Apollo put Kristoph, the properly guilty party, behind bars for good. And then a member of his band had turned out to be part of a smuggling operation, all for money... well. He's had a bit of a rough time lately, but it only gave him more reason to happily throw himself into his work instead.

Case in point: this case. He stands, placing the guitar aside. He doesn't bother addressing the silly nickname he's christened the poor man with. Duh, neck ruffles. ]

I would, indeed, be Klavier Gavin. Prosecutor, former leader of the Gavinners. ... But shouldn't we eschew the stiff formalities? I could do the whole, "and you're Miles Edgeworth, one of the most talented prosecutors in our fair city", but really--it feels far too stifling to me if we're going to be working together, ja? I have a feeling the truth here is going to be a little buried, though--what a mess this one is! Looks to me like Fräulein Truth had a really late night partying and muddied herself up. I guess we'll just need to help her with that hangover until she's ready to tell us what actually happened.

I couldn't visit the scene myself. Didn't want to go making things any worse.

[ Seriously, the last thing they needed was, say, a gaggle of fans outside the police's crimescene. ]

Anyway, Edgeworth walks up to the music room to see if he can brush up his flute and piano skills a little. Preferably without anyone else in the room so he isn't in the spotlight.

Unfortunately, Mr. Gavin is in this room. Playing something incredibly loud and jarring. It would make sense, however, given that the man is a rock musician.

Edgeworth cannot help but grimace at the sound. Perhaps he should come here later so that he does not disturb Gavin?]

[Still older than him! But he looks over as he sees someone come in. His grin widens as he realizes just who it is. He stops playing them for a moment so he can be heard.]

Ahh, Herr Frills! I didn't expect to see you on this level.

[ Being wealthy meant that she could have all the burgers in the world. But instead, she decided not to waste her money; after all, she had to take care of herself and Pearl. They were the two most important people in her life, and it she was better off saving her savings for, well... something more important.

Because obviously going to the biggest Steel Samurai live action concert is more important than burgers. Even though she has one in her mouth at this very moment, jumping up and down and she yells excitedly from the top of her lungs. ]

[While Maya is jumping up and down and screaming with excitement, she may or may not notice a man standing a few metres away from her. He is totally not familiar. Don't let the grey eyes fool you. He's got a beard and moustache (or are they fake?), a grey flat cap and a huge grey coat.

Anyway, totally not familiar at all. Not even the totally familiar voice which suddenly shouts at the top of his voice.] GO, STEEL SAMUR....Gnnnnnnrk!

[And he tries to hide his face (and totally not fake beard and moustache) under his coat, embarrassed at the fact that he had gotten so wrapped up in the show that he lost his composure.]

[ The young spirit medium is taken aback when she hears the all too familiar voice. In fact, it causes her to stand on her tiptoes and jump even higher as she attempts to wave at him.

[With Milla's encouragement, Jude finally decided to visit Leronde quickly, just for pre-final battle sidequest purposes.

He intended to leave town after only one night, but after first dealing with rescuing his father from a mine collapse, and then the incident with spyrixes in the old mine when they tried to leave the next day, it was too late for catch a ship. That meant the party had to spend another night in town. The logical choice for accommodations was Leia's family inn, but today there happened to be an unusual crowd that meant there just weren't enough beds available.

What all of that boiled down to was that Leia, Rowen, Elize and Alvin went to the inn, while Ellen offered Milla one of the spare rooms at the Mathis clinic. Jude, of course, had his own bedroom. None of that was really an issue, since Milla had stayed at the clinic before, but the real problem arose when Ellen announced that she wanted to have a family dinner that night while Jude was there - also inviting Milla.

But then another elderly man fell off of a roof, a little boy came down with an unusually high fever, and events generally conspired to leave Jude by himself in the kitchen to prepare said dinner while his parents dealt with medical emergencies. Not that he'd expected anything different. At least this time, he's able to cook for himself, and doesn't have to rely on Leia's mabo curry. The real question is whether anyone but he and Milla will be there to eat when he finishes cooking.

If Milla follows her nose this evening, she'll find Jude absently stirring a pot of beef stew, although his head seems to be off in the clouds somewhere. It won't be difficult to sneak up on him.]

[Apollo's out on another one of Mr. Wright's strange errands today. You know, the kind of errands where he doesn't explain what or why he needs him specifically to do them, but they tend to turn into him getting a client. Kind of frustrating that he needed to rely on these odd errands to get work when you think about it.

Although he doubted he'd get work with this one. Mr. Wright wanted him to deliver a package to Chief Prosecutor Edgeworth. Why he chose him and not go himself is beyond Apollo. He shifted the box he was holding in his arms as he went up the elevator.]

(*sigh* Why couldn't he send this through postal like a normal person?)

[The elevator door soon opened and Apollo exits, looking for the door that would take him to Mr. Edgeworth's office. This had to be the floor, the map said so anyway. Sure enough, he finds the door with Mr. Edgeworth's name on it. Although he had met with the prosecutor before, this was actually his first time visiting his office. Why did he suddenly feel so anxious thinking about it? He knocked on the door a few times and quietly waited.]

(It's just the Chief Prosecutor I'm seeing again, nothing to get nervous about. I'll be fine!)

[And when you open the door, Apollo, you will find the Chief Prosecutor himself sitting behind his desk, sighing and flicking his fingers through the pages of a document with the words 'Klavier Gavin' and 'Monthly Salary' on them.

....He sighs and puts it away. Better not give Prosecutor Gavin a paycut: the next time Ema Skye phones and complains that Klavier is making her do all the work at her crime scenes, he'll just literally drag the young prosecutor there himself.]

[Yet another murder has occurred, and this time it was at a high school well known for its prestigious soccer club. Unfortunately, the crime was involved with said soccer club, as the dead body of the goalkeeper had been found tangled up in the net of the goal on the field. Shortly after the body had been found, a suspect was arrested: Alf Cyde, the ace of the team.

Presently, Fulbright, who was the detective leading the investigation, stood in front of the scene, guarding it from unauthorized personnel. But it would be any moment now that the suspect's defense lawyer would come to check out the scene.]

....Except not really. She volunteered to be the defense attorney but....she sometimes wondered if she should have given Phoenix or Apollo a call first. It was just....Phoenix was taking his daughter out for the day and Apollo was visiting his childhood friend. She didn't want to bother them just yet.

She can do this, though! Or she thinks she can. She's going to put on a brave face, though.]

[ Really, it should only be a surprise that Kate's managed to get through this much of her life without being arrested before. That she's been found suspicious, found at a crime scene (for the 5th time in Los Angeles alone) with - seemingly - no reason to be there, well that's just life.

But this time Kate seems too suspicious - too likely a suspect to be let go. She's cuffed and stuffed in a police car, her knives and gun confiscated and noted down before they take her to the detention centre and find three more blades hidden underneath her top.

No one comes to bail her out, so she kicks back and lies on the bed until she's told about a visitor from the prosecutor's office. ]

[The earthquake that struck a few minutes ago while Edgeworth was on his way to the beach was mild enough that it only resulted in a brief anxiety attack, given that its epicenter was several dozen miles out to sea. At least according to the radio, the resulting waves weren't dangerous in size, so no reason to turn back, right?

Not long after he arrives, however, the prosecutor will find what appears to be some sort of strange musical instrument -- a large, ocarina-like thing carved out of coral. Not too far from that is what seemed to be some kind of... seaweed belt?]

[Curious, Edgeworth picks up the instrument. Did someone.....drop this? Or was it dropped into the ocean from a boat? It was probably best to take it with him and report it as a lost item to the police when his day relaxing and doing documents was finished. His heart was still beating from the earthquake so maybe it was best to sit down and do some work....

....Huh? What was that? That seaweed...it seemed to be shaped like a belt. Perhaps someone came down earlier and made that? And left it.

Oh, well, it didn't matter. The prosecutor started to set up his little resting spot with his beach towel, putting his documents to the side and lying the towel down.]
